Watermelon, Blueberry & Swiss Chard Smoothie

Hello my little Greenbeans! Today I wanted to share with you a delicious smoothie I made up this morning! I bought a beautiful watermelon this week and I knew I wanted to make a smoothie with it but I didn't know until I was up at bat what else I was going to throw in there! But let me just tell you, it was a HOME RUN! (I have no idea why I am referring to baseball since I am not a huge fan but just run with it haha)

 

Watermelon, Blueberry & Swiss Chard Smoothie (makes 24oz)

2 cups of watermelon

1 cup of fresh blueberries

1 cup of ice

2-3 large swiss chard leaves with the stem

juice from 1 lime

small piece of fresh ginger

Directions: Throw it all into a blender and let it run! 

 

What I love most about this smoothie is that it is completely fresh and straight from fruits and veggies! There is no added sugars or ingredients that are processed! It is filled with antioxidants, chlorophyll, vitamin C & A and is a great detox drink! Try it out and let me know what you think!

Really a refreshing drink to have after a days sweat. As you said, it is good for the health with its antioxidants to help clean our system. Great!
